Our Calendula Petal Harvest!
Infused oils must not be mistaken as essential oils. The infused oil is called a carrier oil that is infused to one or more herbs with an oil such as olive oil. Once this infusion has taken place does the oil now carry those therapeutic properties of the plant.
We use both Calendula and St. John's Wort in many of our products harvested from our own gardens here in New York. We are now excited to add these two oils to our product line. These are not massed produced commercial oils.
It is believed that infused oils of both St. John's Wort and Calendula oil to have amazing benefits for the skin.
St John's Wort is topically used as a anti- inflammatory for treating, burns, swellings, bruises, nerve damage, sun burn and other traumas to the skin.
Calendula which has been given the nickname amongst herbalist, "Mother of The Skin", offers anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antibacterial and anti fungal properties, which make it suitable for just about all skin conditions. This oil can be used for soothing chapped skin, can relieve the swelling and inflammation caused by bruise or muscle sprain, diaper rash, bug bites, acne, preventing or reducing the formation of scar tissues, and much more.
It is recommended that infused oils have a shelf life of up to one year when stored in a cool place away from heat and light, and tightly capped.

We manually harvest these herbs and infuse the oils ourselves. Once the growing season is over we have to wait until next year to make more. That being said our supply is limited.
